     In January 2013, Headlines became the first hair salon in Denver to be recognized as a Certified Green Business. Working with

     the  Dept. of Environmental Health, we made several changes to our lighting, heating/air conditioning, and water systems. These

     included installing energy efficient LED lights and a Water Sense low flow toilet to lower energy use as well as reducing

    operating costs. In addition, our internal recycling program of all paper, cardboard, aluminum, glass, and plastic, commitment to

   Aveda's mission and support of their annual Earth Month campaigns have established us as a local leader in "caring for the world

   we live in".
